How to set severity level in incoming events

hi. I have two integrations set up – AWS CloudWatch and New Relic. for each, I’d like to be able to set my PagerDuty alerts as either high or low urgency (and therefore notify my team differently) based on the severity of the event. I have “Dynamic notifications based on alert severity” selected in my service’s Settings -> Assign and Notify. my question is, how can I set the severity for incoming events from my two integrated sources?

If you want to override what’s coming in by default and drive your dynamic notifications, you can simply create event orchestration rules that trigger based on any conditions in the incoming event and set the severity to what you’d like it to be. Then your dynamic notifications will trigger based on that severity - urgency mapping.
